Christine Bilingual Counselling

UK Chinese Person-Centred Counsellor

To know yourself better, brings greater inner peace.

Why counselling?

Why Counselling?

Perhaps you are feeling lost and disconnected from yourself, your loved ones or the world around you. Maybe you are unsure whether your problems are “serious enough” for therapy, or you don't know how to describe what you’re going through.

Counselling is a process to understand yourself better and cultivate self-awareness and acceptance. Talking to a trained professional outside your social circle can allow you to reflect freely and find the right narrative that truly describes how you feel. It can be a liberating experience and an opportunity to reconnect to your authentic self. Being more able to think about how you want to move forward.

I believe that a greater sense of peace and freedom comes from the continuous process of self-discovering.

“Loneliness is a barrier that prevents one from uniting with the inner self.”

- Carl Rogers

About me

Meet Christine

MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy, MBACP

I am a Chinese Person-Centred Counsellor in the UK and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I offer in-person sessions in Glasgow and online sessions worldwide. I have years of experience working in voluntary sectors supporting isolated, marginalised, and displaced people.

Therapy starts with me offering you a calm space to explore the issues you are struggling with. No judgment, no labels, just deep listening and acceptance. I want you to feel safe enough and free enough to express your thoughts and understand what brings you to counselling.

The process of sharing and reflecting on your thoughts and experiences will help increase your awareness of how you respond to events or unfavourable situations. Your knowledge of yourself will grow through therapy, and this deeper understanding may empower you to make the changes you want in life.

I volunteer as a counsellor at Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland in my spare time. I can offer sessions in English and Cantonese.

What to expect

It can feel daunting to open up to someone.

I offer a free 20-minute telephone/ video call consultation. It gives you a chance to ask any questions and get a better sense of whether counselling is something for you. The client-counsellor relationship is one of the key elements of a meaningful therapy process.

I encourage you to make use of it.

I can offer short-term (6-8 weeks) or longer-term in-person sessions. My office is located in Glasgow City, we can also arrange to meet online from wherever you are.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
